Laura Berry, 53, arrested Wednesday

Lewis County authorities say they've arrested a Lewistown woman on a drug-dealing charge.

The Lewis County Sheriff's Office said Thursday that it's arrested 53 year old Laura Berry on a charge of delivery of a controlled substance. In a statement, Sheriff David Parrish says the arrest happened Wednesday, and that Berry allegedly distributed a prescription medication, namely the generic form of Xanax, to another person in late April. Parrish says his office was helped in the case by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the NEMO Drug Task Force.

Berry's in the Lewis County Jail on $10,000 cash-only bond. A court date's not been set yet.
