A Liberty man now faces two Class X charges after an incident Tuesday afternoon.

52 year old John Martineau made his first appearance Wednesday in Adams County Court, where he was charged with one count each of Home Invasion with a Dangerous Weapon, and Home Invasion with a Firearm. The Adams County Sheriff's Office said late Tuesday they arrested Martineau after a disturbance at a Liberty home around 4:30 PM. The Sheriff's Office hasn't released any more details about the incident, but Martineau's being held on $250,000 bond, and will have a preliminary hearing May 9th. If convicted, he could serve from 6 to 30 years in prison on each charge.

Martineau's also due to go on trial May 8th on a charge of Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, from a December incident.
