Two elderly women were in home on Curved Creek that caught fire July 2
A Quincy woman already facing numerous arson charges, made her first court appearance Wednesday on two more arson charges after a suspicious fire last week at a home with two elderly women inside.
55-year old Lori Thompson was in Adams County Circuit Court for her initial appearance, and will be back in court July 27th. She was arrested Tuesday on a warrant on charges of Aggravated Arson and Residential Arson. She's suspected of starting a fire on the night of July 2nd, at a home on Curved Creek Road, just south of Quincy. Two elderly women were in the home when the fire started, but were able to get out safely. Thompson's already been indicted on five counts of Residential Arson and one count of Aggravated Arson, for allegedly setting fires to three Quincy-area homes in 2016 and 2017, including three at a home on Curved Creek Road. She's due back in court on those charges next month.
Thompson's in the Adams County Jail on $5 million bond.
