Nathan Caldwell faces seven counts in Adams County

A Quincy man, who’s pleaded Not Guilty to seven child-porn charges he faces in Adams County, has had his March trial delayed.

Nathan Caldwell was in Adams County Circuit Court for a status hearing on all seven counts, ahead of a March 11th trial. Records show that trial date was stricken, after Caldwell's defense filed a motion to have some of his property returned to him. A motion hearing will be held on that same date, instead. Caldwell faces three Class X counts of Child Porn involving a victim under 13. He also faces four other counts of Child porn, and was indicted on all seven counts in November by an Adams County Grand Jury. Caldwell, who worked in a daycare run by the Church of St. Peter, was arrested after Quincy police got a tip from the Illinois Attorney General's Internet Crimes Against Children division. He's accused of having hundreds of pictures and over a dozen videos on his phone.

Caldwell is in the Adams County Jail on $700,000 bond.
