Mario Mason's being held on $2 million bond
A Memphis, Tennessee man, accused of kidnapping a Quincy woman from the Welcome Inn in July and was later caught in Kentucky, is now back in Adams County.
Mario Mason was served with a warrant on Wednesday, and was in Adams County Circuit Court Friday morning for his first appearance. Mason's been charged in Adams County with two Class X counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault, a Class X count of Aggravated Kidnapping and counts of Kidnapping and Aggravated Domestic Battery. Mason is accused of kidnapping Tabitha Campbell in mid-July and taking her to the Memphis area. She was able to escape from Mason in Arkansas. He was arrested in mid-September in Marshall County, Kentucky.
Mason is in the Adams County Jail on $2 million bond.
