Temperatures last week averaged 77.0 degrees, 0.9 degrees above normal. Precipitation averaged 0.52 inches statewide, 0.30 inches below normal. There was 5.9 days suitable for fieldwork for the week ending August 11, 2019. Topsoil moisture supply was rated 2 percent very short, 17 percent short, 77 percent adequate, and 4 percent surplus. Subsoil moisture supply was rated 1 percent very short, 12 percent short, 82 percent adequate, and 5 percent surplus. Corn silking progressed to 95 percent.
