MSHP identifies him as Jayden Richardson, 19, of Sumner
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a north-central Missouri man drowned in Marion County Tuesday afternoon.
The Patrol identifies the man as 19-year-old Jayden Richardson of Sumner, Missouri. A report says he was kayaking on a private pond near County Road 144, 2.5 miles west of Philadelphia, Missouri. Troopers say Richardson fell out of the kayak and failed to resurface. He was pronounced dead by Marion County coroner Rick Jones 90 minutes later, at 1:45 P.M.
Troopers were assisted by both the Marion County Sheriff's Office and the Hannibal Fire Department.
