Monroe County man gets 12 year prison sentence for string of burglaries

Joshua Luntsford accepted plea deal in Friday hearing

A Monroe County man has admitted taking part in at least one break-in in Monroe County with his father, and has been sentenced to further prison time in a plea offer.

Joshua Luntsford was in Monroe County Circuit court Friday, where court records show that he pleaded Guilty to three counts, including Burglary and Robbery. In return, Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney Talley Kendrick dropped three other counts, including one of Armed Criminal Action. Luntsford was then sentenced to 12 years in prison. He'll serve that sentence while already serving a seven year sentence after a 2016 conviction in Randolph County, Missouri. Luntsford was accused of numerous break-ins in Monroe County, including an incident last June outside Madison. That’s where two people were tied up with zip ties in their home and then robbed. He's

Luntsford’s father Michael is serving a ten-year sentence on similar charges for his role in the break-ins, after being sentenced last month.
