Allegedly pointed a gun at QPD; goes on trial in October

One of two men, arrested in connection with an incident involving a gun being pointed at police outside a Quincy hotel in late July, has pleaded Not Guilty.

31 year old Daniel Montgomery entered that plea Tuesday during his arraignment in Adams County Court. He's charged with aggravated assault with a firearm, possession of a firearm by a felon, possessions of a controlled substance, and resisting arrest. He and 21 year old Colton Parsons were arrested in a room at Quincy's Eagle's Nest Hotel, after police say Montgomery pulled a gun on an officer outside the hotel before the pair ran inside.

Montgomery's being held on 100 thousand dollars' bond, and will go on trial October 11th. Parsons, who's charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, is being held on 20 thousand dollars' bond, and will have his preliminary hearing Wednesday.
