Made comments Friday on WTAD's Mary Griffith Show
Quincy Mayor Kyle Moore says he's confident Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner will come through with funding to do as he promised Thursday and replace the aging Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy with the best housing and treatment center imagined.
Moore made the comments Friday on WTAD's Mary Griffith Show. Rauner Thursday said that as a back-up plan, the state's looking to acquire the vacant Sycamore Health Care Center nearby to use in emergencies and during the transition to newly built quarters. Moore says taking care of the residents with the nurses and support personnel they're comfortable with is primary.
