Former Quincy Mayor starts Monday, hasn't ruled out future run for office
Former Quincy Mayor Kyle Moore didn't have to wait long before finding a new job.
The Great River Economic Development Foundation announced Thursday that Moore will be the Foundation's new President, succeeding Marcel Wagner. A statement says that Moore will be only the third person to ever lead the organization since it was founded in 1978. Moore was interviewed first by a search committee, before a second interview by the full GREDF board and over 17 other community leaders. In the statement, GREDF said that Moore's background, not only as a former Mayor, but also as a business owner, made him an ideal candidate for the job. GREDF revealed that Moore told them that he may run for office again in the future. They said though that they felt that Moore's strengths and experience outweighed any concerns they had. GREDF says that Moore will start as president on Monday. Wagner will stay on board in a transition phase.
GREDF says that Moore will spend his first 90 days "both learning and moving projects forward."
