Authorities say victim's location was given in exchange for drugs, money

New details have emerged about an alleged kidnapping and sexual assault Monday in Hannibal, in which one of the men supposedly provided the victim's location, in exchange for drugs and money.

In a probable cause statement, Marion County Prosecuting Attorney David Clayton says that Kenny Lumpford knew the victim, and that he made the deal with Demetrice Moffett before the incident. The pair went to see Travis Gerard, who provided Moffett with a .45 caliber handgun. They then went to the victim's home, where Lumpford was able to get her to open the door. Once she did, Moffett allegedly hit her and threatened her with the gun. All three then went back to Gerard's home where the gun was exchanged and Lumpford was paid. Lumpford was then dropped off, and Moffett and the victim went to the Days Inn, where the sexual assault allegedly happened. A probable cause statement on Moffett says that authorities were called by the victim's mother, who got a text from the victim while Moffett was in the room. Moffett's been charged with 1st Degree Rape, Kidnapping and Armed Criminal Action. Lumpford's also charged with 1st Degree Rape, while Gerard's charged with Receiving Stolen Property and Manufacturing Marijuana.

All three men are in the Marion County Jail, and will be arraigned Friday.
