William Cashel sentenced Tuesday in St. Louis District Court
A New London man has been sentenced to Federal prison on child porn charges.
The Justice Department said Tuesday that 44 year old William Cashel was sentenced Tuesday to 20 years in prison for production and receipt of child pornography between January and late August 2015. Cashel pled Guilty in July in St. Louis District Court to one felony count of production of child porn and one count of receipt of child porn. According to court documents, Cashel took pornographic pictures of a six-year old girl, which New London police found on his cell phone. Cashel had also received child porn via a social media app on his phone.
Cashel was first arrested in late August 2015, and was indicted on the Federal charges in July 2016.
