Concerns over residents' safety cited
Citing a worry over resident's safety, the Illinois Department of Veterans' Affairs has said no more to a very popular game.
The Department Friday said it has asked Nintendo to restrict Pokemon Go, from any of its Veteran Homes properties, including the Quincy Vets Home. It's also asking the public to not play the game on the grounds. Veterans Affairs spokesperson Dave MacDonna said quote, "We are concerned for the welfare of our residents and staff at the homes, as well as those playing the game. Reports have started coming in of distracted drivers on the grounds. We are taking this preemptive approach, in hopes of protecting all involved,"
The Department says since the game started, many people have been seen on various IDVA properties, playing the game.
