School President Dr. Brian McGee says gift will help school, community

The President of Quincy University says the recently-announced gift of $6.5 million from the Oakley family will not only help the University, but the city as well.

The gift was announced Wednesday afternoon by the University, as a gift from multiple generations of the family. Dr. Brian McGee, appearing Thursday on WTAD's Mary Griffith Show, says that the $6.5 million is the largest gift in Quincy University history. He points out how the donation will not only help QU, but will also help Quincy grow and prosper.
