Illinois State Police identify victim as Lance Bowen, 35, of Barry
A 35-year old Barry man is dead after rolling his Jeep into a pasture just north of El Dara Wednesday afternoon.
The Illinois State Police say Lance Bowen was driving on Pike county Route 4 shortly before 5 P.M. when the Jeep Cherokee ran off the roadway and overturned several times before coming to rest in a grass pasture. Bowen was thrown from the vehicle. A report from the ISP says that Bowen was not wearing a seat belt.
The crash remains under investigation.
