QPD says accident happened at 9 AM at 16th and Kentucky

Quincy police have released more details about a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning that injured a Quincy man.

The man's been identified as 61 year old Clarence Seeland, who was taken to Blessing Hospital after he was hit while riding a motorized bicycle. Police say they and Quincy firefighters were called just before 9 AM to 16th and Kentucky where the accident happened. In a report, officers say that Seeland was south-bound on 16th when his bike was hit by a vehicle driven by a 17-year old girl only identified as A.E. Police say the girl failed to stop at a stop sign before the accident.

Police say A.E. was issued a citation for failure to stop at the stop sign.
