Raymond Gum to have hearing October 27
A Palmyra man, charged with murder in the early-September death of a Palmyra woman, will have a preliminary hearing next month.
Raymond Gum was in Marion County Associate Court in Palmyra Tuesday, where an October 27th date was set for that preliminary hearing. He’s been charged with counts of 1st Degree Murder and Armed Criminal Action in the September 3rd shooting death of Crystal Cooper. Her body was found that morning in a car in the 100 block of East Jefferson in Palmyra. Gum was arrested the next day in Petersburg, Illinois.
He's in the Marion County Jail on $1 million cash-only bond.
