ISP says they've completed investigation into QPD shooting of Rollie Davis

Illinois State Police have completed their investigation into the Monday night shooting by a Quincy police officer that left a man dead.

53 year old Rollie Davis, Sr. of Quincy died after being shot by 16 year veteran Police Officer Steve Bangert.

The shooting came during a confrontation between Davis and Officer Bangert when Davis drew what appeared to be a pistol.

With the conclusion of the ISP investigation - Adams County State's Attorney Gary Farha released a photograph of the weapon found next to Davis at the scene.

The weapon was confirmed to be a pellet gun that resembles a hand gun.

The Adams County State's Attorney's Office will review the witness statements, physical evidence, and other various reports in the near future and determine if any additional action is necessary.
