Accused of attacking Monroe Co authorities last August in Paris

Probable cause has been found against a Moberly man, accused of attacking Monroe County officers during a confrontation in Paris in August 2016.

That ruling against Kevin Marshall came Tuesday, during a preliminary hearing in Monroe County court on numerous charges, including Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, Armed Criminal Action, Burglary and Resisting Arrest. Earlier, Marshall decided to waive his right to the hearing. He's accused of attacking both a Monroe City police officer and a Monroe County Sheriff's deputy inside a Paris grocery store as they tried to arrest him, after he earlier threatened them with a hatchet and baseball bat on Highway 15. Both officers fired their weapons at Marshall, hitting him twice.

Marshall's already being held by the Missouri Department of Corrections after violating his probation in a Randolph County case. He'll be arraigned in Monroe County court October 5th.
