Accused of stabbing his son during Father's Day altercation in Quincy

Probable cause has been found against a Quincy man, accused of stabbing his son during a domestic dispute on Father's Day.

That ruling against 62-year old Jay Schroder was handed down Wednesday in Adams County Circuit Court. Schroder earlier waived his hearing on charges of Aggravated Unlawful Restraint, Aggravated Battery with a Weapon and Aggravated Domestic Battery. Prosecutors say that the incident happened at a home in the 17 hundred block of Sycamore. A 32-year old man reportedly had a puncture wound to the upper chest and shoulder area and a cut to the forehead. He was taken to Blessing Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. A knife that prosecutors think was used in the incident was found on the scene.

Schroder’s in the Adams County Jail on $25,000 bond, and will be arraigned July 18th.
