Charged with Obstruction in connection with shooting death of daughter Melina in May
Probable cause has been found against the mother of 7-year old Melina Torres, on a charge connected to the child‘s accidental shooting death in May.
Judge Robert Adrian ruled Wednesday during a preliminary hearing in Adams County court, that there was probable cause against Karen Torres. She faces an an Obstruction charge, and is alleged to have helped Melina's grandmother, Julie Roberts-Cole, and uncle, Daniel Roberts in trying to hide details of the shooting from authorities. They’ve both pleaded Guilty to charges in the case. A fourth person, Shannon Combes, also faces a weapons charge, and will go on trial in December.
Torres remains free on bond, and will be arraigned November 30.
