Former Hannibal man charged in 2016 murder of St. Louis County policeman

Court proceedings for a former Hannibal Middle School student, accused of murdering a St. Louis County policeman in October 2016, will be hidden from public view before his trial in February.

Court records show that on Monday, a judge ordered that any future filings or motions in the case of Trenton Forster will not be made public before his February 4th trial in St. Louis County Circuit Court. Forster's charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the shooting death of 33-year-old Blake Snyder. Forster's accused of fatally shooting Snyder in the face after the officer responded to a reported disturbance. He's also charged with second-degree assault and another count of armed criminal action, for allegedly pointing a gun at Snyder's police partner.

Forster has pleaded Not Guilty and remains jailed on $1 million bond.
