Will analyze records and could testify
A Quincy man, accused of beating a man to death, will have a psychiatric expert review his case before it goes to trial.
That ruling came Thursday afternoon at a hearing for Derek McKenzie in Adams County Circuit Court. The expert, only identified as a Chicago doctor that specializes in psychiatric issues and addiction, will review the case, and possibly testify. McKenzie’s charged with two counts of 1st Degree Murder, and is accused of beating Billy Graham to death with his fists, and a clamp, in Graham's apartment above Izzey's Bar and Grill on North 5th Street in December, 2015.
McKenzie is in the Adams County Jail on 5 million dollars' bond, and will be back in court February 14th.
