Fire thought to have started in bathroom; no one hurt
Quincy firefighters had to put out a fire Tuesday morning on the city's north-west side.
The fire at 626 Lind was first reported around 9:15 AM. Flames were reported to be visible from the west side of the home. When firefighters arrived, they did encounter smoke coming from the home. Four engines were on the scene, and firefighters had the fire out within 45 minutes. The home's owner was not there when the call arrived, but another person was in the home at the time of the fire, and was able to get out safely.
No one was hurt, but the home did suffer fire and smoke damage. Investigators are trying to determine what caused the fire, which started in a bathroom.
