Thomas Toolate, 53, found by passer-by; no foul play suspected
Quincy Police and the Adams County Coroner's Office have identified the body found Saturday afternoon off North 5th Street.
In a statement released Thursday, the QPD and Coroner James Keller say that the body is that of 53 year old Thomas Toolate of Quincy. Toolate's body was found Saturday afternoon around 3:20 PM by a person out for a walk, about 100 yards west of North 5th Street, just north of the train tracks. The QPD says "that at this stage of the investigation, no evidence of foul play has been identified". Earlier, police investigators said they didn't believe a train was involved in Toolate's death.
They're also saying that right now, no further information is available for release.
