Incident happened last Thursday; woman died Wednesday night at Blessing
Quincy police say they're conducting an investigation after a woman died Wednesday night in Blessing Hospital.
In a statement, police say that they were first called to the 300 block of Cedar last Thursday night, because a door to the home was open. When they entered, officers say they found a man and a woman in the home, who both "appeared to be having a medical emergency." The statement says that the man and woman, who were related and who both lived at the home, were taken by ambulance Blessing Hospital. The woman died at Blessing Wednesday night. Deputy Chief Doug VanderMaiden says that at this point, the department does not know the cause of death, but does add that the department is currently investigating, and that an autopsy was scheduled for Thursday afternoon.
VanderMaiden says the QPD doesn't have any more info, but doesn't believe there's currently a public safety concern based off the incident.
