Crystal Mitchell wanted on Armed Robbery charges

Quincy police have named a suspect in two armed robberies of convenience stores within 12 hours over the weekend.

Police late Wednesday afternoon named 40 year old Crystal Mitchell, also known as Crystal White, as the prime suspect in the robberies. In a statement, the QPD say that a warrant is out for Mitchell’s arrest on two counts of Armed Robbery. They say Mitchell robbed the County Market Express at 36th and State Saturday night around 7:15 PM. Then, at around 4:40 AM Sunday morning, she robbed the Casey’s General Store on North 24th Street. Police say that she used a semi-automatic handgun in both robberies.

Police credit a tip submitted Wednesday to Crime Stoppers to Mitchell being named as a suspect. Bond for Mitchell has been set at $1 million.
