Man identified as Marty Johnson, 32, of Quincy
Quincy police have identified the victim of an early-morning stabbing last Thursday, and say that he's died of his injuries.
The QPD identified the man as 32-year old Marty Johnson of Quincy, and say that he passed away Wednesday at Blessing Hospital from injuries suffered in the attack. That attack happened around 6 AM in a home in the 900 block of North 3rd, and police said when the crime happened that Johnson was stabbed in the home. He was later found at the entrance to a nearby alley. Police say they questioned several people at the scene, and recovered a knife as well. An autopsy on Johnson's body was performed Thursday in Bloomington.
Police say their investigation into the incident continues.
