QPS forms Boundary Task Force

Wants public members; application due by Sept 12

The Quincy Public Schools wants your help in forming its' new school boundaries.

The District Tuesday said that it wants to form a Boundary Advisory Task Force, to help determine new boundaries for the district's five new K through 5 elementary schools. The Task Force will include District Business Manager Joel Murphy, as well as Board Members Sheldon Bailey and Jim Whitfield, QPS Director of Transportation Shane Barnes and the new principals for the five new Learning Communities. The district says it also wants to add to the Task Force from the community, and is asking those interested to apply by September 12th. An application is available at the district's web site.

The Task Force will hold its' first meeting September 21st, and hold five more meetings by mid December.
