Morning went "surprisingly well"

The Quincy Public Schools' internet service is back, after crews with their Service Provider repaired cut fiber-optic cables in Springfield, Illinois.

QPS says the service returned late this morning, after its' ISP Windstream spliced in new fiber to repair a break, caused by an accident, where a dump truck tore down three power poles. Spokesman Scott Morris says that caused the fiber to break for customers throughout central and western Illinois. Morris says the company had to wait for the power company to set new poles before their crews could begin work. In a statement Wednesday night, Piazza said that the outage could have affected bus service for students, but on Thursday said that the morning went quote, "surprisingly well".

She credited a bus driver rehearsal earlier in the week, and contacting parents.
