Bishop Fernand Cheri of New Orleans is former QU head of Campus Ministry
Quincy University says that two new members have been elected to its' Board of Trustees.
QU said Thursday that Bishop Fernand Cheri III and Steve Campbell joined the current board of 26 men and women from across the country in January. Bishop Cheri is the Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Before he became a bishop, Cheri was the director of campus ministry at QU from 2011 to 2015. Bishop Cheri is the first bishop to serve on the QU Board of Trustees. Campbell is executive vice president and chief administrative officer for U.S. Cellular and is also a member of U.S. Cellular’s board of directors.
Campbell, a QU alum, also delivered the keynote address at QU’s 156th Commencement ceremony.
