Jason & Christina Gerding entered pleas Friday in Federal court

Two Quincy residents, charged for their part in allegedly storming the U.S. Capitol January 6th, have pleaded Not Guilty.

Jason and Christina Gerding entered that plea Friday via video at a hearing in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Revised charges were filed last week against the pair. They now face two counts of Disorderly Conduct, and counts of entering a restricted area and demonstrating in a Capitol building. All the charges are misdemeanors. A criminal complaint filed January 19th says that Federal authorities received numerous tips about the Gerdings, who posted about their involvement in the insurrection on social media. The complaint cited two photos the Gerdings posted inside the Capitol, including one with a comment saying "Quincy made it inside".

The Gerdings are free on a recognizance bond, and will be back in court March 17th.
