Sidney Shackleton picked up on a warrant Monday night

A Quincy man is free on $200,000 bond after his arrest on a child-porn charge.

Quincy police identify the man as 30-year old Sidney Shackleton, and say he was arrested Monday night at his home in the 1600 block of Monroe. A report says Shackleton faces one count of distribution of child porn. Police say they started investigating in January after one of Shackleton's social media accounts was flagged for what police call "possible child exploitive material." Shackleton was interviewed in February by QPD detectives and investigators with the Illinois Attorney General's office. Police also searched Shackleton's home. In their statement, police add that due to a possible conflict of interest with Adams County government, the investigation was turned over to the state Appellant Prosecutor's Office. They'll handle prosecuting the case. Shackleton's a 911 dispatcher for Quincy and Adams County.

Shackleton posted bond this morning, and is due in court this afternoon.
