Joshua Evans picked up after traffic stop
A Quincy man faces drug charges in Hannibal after his arrest Wednesday night.
Hannibal Police on Friday said they stopped a speeding vehicle on Grand Avenue Wednesday night being driven by 37 year old Joshua Evans. They say that a Ralls County Sheriffs Department K9 alerted to possible drugs in the vehicle, and found what they think was meth and drug paraphernalia. Evans tried to run from officers, but was caught and arrested. He faces charges of 2nd Degree Drug Trafficking, Manufacturing a Controlled Substance and Resisting Arrest. He's being held on 100 thousand dollar's bond, and will be arraigned September 9th.
Evans is also due to face trial in October in Adams County on meth and marijuana charges.
