Johnny Presley will go on trial in US District Court in Springfield Sep't 10

A Quincy man, indicted in Adams County on drug and weapon charges after his arrest during the Memorial Day weekend, now faces Federal charges in the incident.

Those charges were filed last month in US District Court in Springfield against Johnny Presley. He's been charged with counts of Meth Distribution, possessing a firearm while distributing meth and unlawful transport of a firearm. Presley pleaded Not Guilty to the counts in early August, and is set to go on trial October 2nd. He had faced charges in Adams County of Unlawful Possession of Meth ICE over 100 grams with intent to deliver, and unlawful Possession of a stolen Firearm. Those were dropped shortly after the Federal charges were filed. Authorities say the charges are the result of a raid on Presley's home in the 1200 of Park Place by multiple law enforcement agencies. Those agencies say they found a quarter-pound of meth, cannabis, prescription pills, firearms and cash.

Presley's being held by US Marshals, and will be back in court September 20th.
