5 years, 10 months ago by Scott Hardy

Kyle Bergman will be sentenced October 2nd

A Quincy man, facing Federal meth and weapons charges, has pleaded Guilty to two counts in a settlement with prosecutors.

Kyle Bergman was in US District Court in Springfield Thursdsay for a pre-trial hearing, ahead of a June 5th trial. Court records show that at the hearing, he pleaded Guilty to counts of meth distribution and possessing a weapon during a drug sale. In return, two counts of transporting firearms will likely be dropped. Bergman was first stopped in mid-August 2017 by Quincy police during a traffic stop, where officers said they found a loaded, stolen, .38 caliber handgun and about 53 grams of meth ICE. They later searched two locations and found four other firearms. Bergman was among eight people indicted by a Federal Grand Jury in September 2017.

He’s being held by US Marshals without bond, and will be sentenced October 2nd.
