Emmanuel Yisreal to go on trial April 8th

A Quincy man, facing four Class X counts after being accused of having inappropriate contact with a 12-year old boy last year, has pleaded Not Guilty and will go on trial this spring.

18-year old Emmanuel Yisreal entered that plea Tuesday at his arraignment in Adams County Circuit Court on four counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a victim under 13. Records show he's set to go on trial starting April 8th. An Adams County Grand Jury indicted Yisreal in early February on those charges, which are Class X counts with a 6 to 30 year sentence per count if convicted. Yisreal was arrested in early February by Quincy police. A report says that they began their investigation just after the first of the year. Police say that during their investigation, they found that Yisreal had allegedly had inappropriate sexual contact with the 12 year old boy in early October and mid November 2018.

Yisreal is in the Adams County Jail on $100,000 bond, and will be back in court March 12th.
