Richard Hood will be sentenced September 13; was convicted in April

A Quincy man, convicted on sexual assault and restraint counts from a January 2018 incident, will now be sentenced next month.

Court records show that on Monday, a September 13th sentencing date was set for Richard Hood. An earlier June sentencing date had been delayed for Hood, who was convicted in April on three counts of criminal sexual assault and one count of unlawful restraint. Hood was indicted on the counts by an Adams County Grand Jury in early March 2018, and are based on incidents that happened in January of that year. Hood also faces a Class X count of making a terrorist threat, based on statements he made while leaving a hearing in mid-February.

Hood will be in court Friday on that count, and is in the Adams County Jail on $1 million bond.
