Carlos Williams accused of strangling Orlando Smith in May 2019
A Quincy man, indicted in connection with the May 2019 death of a Quincy man whose body was found by the side of a road, is due in court Wednesday.
Carlos Williams is set to be in Adams County Circuit Court for a status hearing. Williams has pleaded Not Guilty to three counts of 1st Degree Murder in the death of Orlando Smith. Charging documents say that Williams strangled Smith sometime between May 27th and May 30th. Smith's body was found on the 30th on the side of the road in the 200 block of Koch’s Lane in Quincy. Authorities haven't said what a possible motive for the killing was.
Williams is in the Adams County Jail on $5 million bond.
