Trial date for Martin Wiskur set Tuesday in Adams County Circuit Court

A Quincy man facing three counts, including two counts of disseminating child porn, will go on trial in June.

Court records show that Martin Wiskur will go on trial starting June 10th. He was in Adams County Circuit Court Tuesday for a status hearing on 2 counts of Dissemination of Child Porn and 1 count of Failure to Register as a sex offender. Prosecutors say that Quincy police started investigating Wiskur in August after they got a tip from the Illinois Attorney General's Office Internet Crimes against Children Division. They reported that suspected child pornography images were being shared via social media. A co-defendant, Jonathan Hoats, faces three counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault and one count of Child Porn. Hoats is alleged to have attacked a victim under 13, and is said by police to have been a room-mate of Wiskur's in 2018. He was indicted on the charges last month.

Both are in the Adams County Jail. Wiskur's held on $250,000 bond, and will be back in court May 14th.
