John Varley charged with Meth dealing, conspiracy counts

A Quincy man, facing Federal meth delivery charges, will go on trial in December.

John Varley was in US District Court in Springfield Thursday for a hearing on Meth dealing and conspiracy charges, from a late-August arrest. That's where a December 5th trial date was set. Varley and two other men were picked up after a raid by the West Central Illinois Task Force and Quincy police on a home in the 21 hundred block of Rainbow Lane on Quincy's far north side. Adams County charges against Varley of Meth and Cannabis Delivery were recently dropped. One of the other men arrested, Everett J. Humphrey, is due to stand trial on similar charges November 6th in Adams County. The other, Everett E. Humphrey, also faces Federal Meth dealing and conspiracy charges, and will be arraigned Tuesday.

Varley, who's currently in Federal custody, will next be in court November 20th.
