Travis Wiley accused of murder in January 208 death of a baby
A Quincy man, charged with 1st Degree Murder in the January 2018 death of a baby, has had his case delayed a month.
Travis Wiley was in Adams County Circuit Court Wednesday for a status hearing. Records show Wiley's case was delayed to April 17th. He's pleaded Not Guilty to three counts of 1st Degree Murder and one count of Aggravated Battery to a Child. Wiley will have a Canadian pathologist take the case pro bono, and will conduct an investigation and testify at trial. That's after a first request by the defense was rejected by Judge Robert Adrian, due to the cost. Wiley was indicted on the charges in mid-July by an Adams County Grand Jury after a six-month investigation. He's accused of shaking the unidentified baby last January, causing its' death two days later at a St. Louis hospital.
Wiley's in the Adams County Jail on $5 million bond.
