Available for tablets, smartphones

The City of Quincy and Quincy Transit Lines say they've made it easier to use their service.

QTL announced Wednesday that it's now available on Google Maps if you're using a tablets or a cell phone. In a statement, QTL Director Marty Stegeman says that they've been working with a consultant for a year getting routes entered into the Google Transit system. Stegeman says that now residents and visitors to the City will be able to find the closest bus stop to where they live, work or shop and get directions on the quickest way to get from those locations to their destination. QTL says the application will allow you to enter a starting point anywhere within city limits and then a destination and the application will provide the user with the route as options. That includes estimated times of arrival at your destination. You'll also be able to pick which route you prefer.

A link to the app is available on the Quincy Transit Lines website.
