Results for Lori Thompson may be revealed at Nov. 2 hearing

A Quincy woman, indicted on eight counts of arson, will be examined to see if she's mentally fit to stand trial.

Lori Thompson was in Adams County Circuit Court Friday for a hearing on all eight counts. She was indicted earlier this month by an Adams County Grand Jury on the two most recent counts of Aggravated Arson and Residential Arson. Court records show that a motion to have Thompson undergo a mental fitness exam was granted. The results may be revealed at a court hearing November 2nd. Thompson’s suspected of starting a fire on the night of July 2nd, at a home on Curved Creek Road, just south of Quincy. Two elderly women were in the home when the fire started, but were able to get out safely. Thompson's also been indicted on five counts of Residential Arson and one count of Aggravated Arson, for allegedly setting fires to three Quincy-area homes in 2016 and 2017, including three at a home on Curved Creek Road.

Thompson's in the Adams County Jail on $5 million bond.
