Tours Rack Builders Inc., promotes reforms
Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner was in Quincy late Friday morning, touring a manufacturing company while promoting reforms he feels will improve the state's business climate. Scott Hardy has more.

Ruaner toured Rack Builders Incorporated, which makes structural pallet racks that go to 45 states, as well as Canada, Mexico and Central America. Rauner said that it's his administration’s goal to make it easier for existing businesses to thrive while also attracting others to Illinois.

Rauner also responded to a question about his statement last week where he said he wasn't in charge in Springfield.

Rauner's trip Friday also included a morning stop in Jacksonville and an afternoon stop in Macomb. He has announced his re-election bid, and is facing a March primary challenge from State Representative Jeanne Ives.
