Rep. Frese says he'd support IL Income Tax hike

Illinois 94th District State Representative Randy Frese (R-Paloma) says he would reluctantly support a state income tax hike, if it means getting a budget deal done. Scott Hardy has more.

Frese made the statement during his appearance Thursday on WTAD's News Round Table.

Frese said that any tax hike must have a sunset provision, and must be used on the state's debt.

The Illinois Comptroller's Office said Thursday that the total's now above 14 billion dollars. Frese also said that he doubts that the Illinois House, and Speaker Mike Madigan, will pass a full budget this year.
