Will be in Adams County court next week

A Quincy man, who’s allegedly responsible for causing Blessing Hospital to be locked-down for three hours in late February, has now been indicted on six counts.

An Adams County Grand Jury handed down those indictments last Thursday against Robert Sparks on counts of Aggravated Domestic Violence, Domestic Battery, Aggravated DUI, Aggravated Fleeing and both Felony and misdemeanor Aggravated Assault. Sparks was arrested February 22nd after a high-speed chase on 30th Street that ended in the parking lot of Knapheide Manufacturing's headquarters. The incident started earlier that morning at a home in the 500 block of North 22nd, where a 49-year old woman had been battered. Prosecutors say the battering happened four days before.

Sparks is in the Adams County Jail on $1 million bond, and will be back in court next Wednesday.
