Daniel Lee Cluney picked up Tuesday in Clark County

A second Clark County man's been arrested in connection with an alleged New Year's Eve kidnapping in Quincy.

Quincy police Wednesday announced the arrest of 35-year old Daniel Lee Cluney of Wyaconda, in connection with the incident. A report says that Cluney was arrested Tuesday by the Clark County Sheriff's Department on a warrant from Adams County. Cluney's charged with counts of Aggravated Kidnapping, Kidnapping, Aggravated Battery and Unlawful Restraint. The incident started on the morning of December 31st, in the 11 hundred block of North 8th Street. Police say that Cluney helped an Alexandria, Missouri man, Robert Missen, kidnap a 3rd man by forcing him into the trunk of a car. The victim was able to escape from the trunk of the car at 3rd and Broadway, at the foot of the Bayview Bridge. Missen was arrested the next day in Clark County. He's pleaded Not Guilty to the same charges Cluney faces, and will go on trial next month in Adams County Circuit Court.

Cluney is in the Clark County Jail on $350,000 bond, awaiting extradition to Adams County.
