All active QFD firefighters called to 648 Ohio

Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused an apartment fire on Quincy's southwest side, that forced three families from their home.

Firefighters say they were called just before 1:30 Wednesday morning to the building at 648 Ohio, which was fully engulfed when they arrived. Shortly after that, a second alarm was sounded, and all available personnel were called to fight the fire. Quincy Fire Chief Joe Henning says the fire started on the first floor and quickly spread to the second and third floors.
Everyone made it out safely and there were no injuries.

The American Red Cross says it's helping four adults and two children left homeless by the fire.
